This is the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal in original box of issue as awarded straight after WW2, complete with pin-back ribbon bar, and not to be confused with later issue pieces of inferior quality. This medal was created on Nov 2 1942, and was awarded to any member of the US military who served for any length of time in the Pacific Theatre from 1941 to 1945. The medal, bar and box are all in excellent condition, and this set comes complete with original protective tissue paper. The manufacturers label still forms a hinge on this set, attached to both lid and bottom, often torn apart. Obtained from the USA.
