American WW2 Medals and Badges
This is an American WW2 issued Air Medal complete with lapel pin and bar in it's original 'coffin-box' style presentation case, with oak leaf attachments to the ribbon signifying multiple awards. The Air Medal was established on 11 May 1942, and awards were backdated to 8 September 1939. An award was made to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the Armed Forces of the United States, distinguished himself/herself by meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight.
In very good condition, this medal has the slotted-brooch pin attachment identifying it as a WW2 era issue piece. The case is also in good condition, with a clean lining but some loss of finish on the lid and a clicky hinge. It is over 70 years old! Obtained from the USA.
Our Price: £95.00
