USA Vietnam Service Medal boxed set, dated 1969, original issue

This is the Vietnam Service Medal in original box of issue, as issued during and immediately after the Vietnam War, complete with ribbon bar. This award was created in 1965 by order of President Lyndon Johnson, to recognize military service of at least 30 consecutive days, or 60 non-consecutive days during the Vietnam war, by any member of the US military. In excellent unissued condition, with month/year markings of 11/69 on the box lid. Obtained from the USA.
