This is a 1980s issued Bronze Star Medal set, complete with pin-back ribbon bar and lapel badge, in it's original presentation case and it's dated box. The medal is in excellent condition, and the presentation case as well, with very clean inner lining, of the type issued during the US involvement in Libya and the Persian Gulf, just before the Gulf War. Obtained from the USA. 

The Bronze Star Medal (or BSM) was awarded for bravery, acts of merit, or meritorious service. When awarded for bravery, it is the fourth-highest combat award of the U.S. Armed Forces and the ninth highest military award (including both combat and non-combat awards) in the order of precedence of U.S. military decorations
