This is an original USA Armed Forces Reserve Medal for Army personnel from the Korean War period, complete with ribbon bar in it's original box of issue, still with the protective tissue paper, and not to be confused with later issue pieces of inferior quality. In excellent condition, the paper manufacturers label is still attached to both lid and bottom,forming a hinge,often torn apart. This medal was instituted in 1950, and was awarded to any serviceman or woman who completed a total of ten years service as a member of a Reserve or National Guard component of the United States military.
