This is a USA Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal from the Vietnam War period, complete with ribbon bar, in it's original box of issue dated 1966, with the protective tissue paper. In excellent condition, obtained from a veteran in the USA. This medal was created in 1961 by President Kennedy, and awarded to any member of the United States armed forces who served in any US military operation where another award wasn't applicable. It was concidered a higher award than the Vietnam Service Medal.
