This is an American Vietnam War period issued Air Medal complete with lapel pin and bar in it's original presentation case. The Air Medal was established on 11 May 1942, backdated to 1939, and an award was made to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the Armed Forces of the United States, distinguished himself/herself by meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. In very good condition with good clean presentation case, though there are a few minor marks in the removeable base. Obtained from the USA.
