This bayonet and scabbard are for the Swiss SIG Stgw (Sturmgewehr) 57 assault rifle, manufactured from 1957 to 1983. Made by Wenger or Victorinox, the same people who make the Swiss Army Knife, this is a high quality bayonet in very good condition, marked W on the ricasso for Wenger.  Very good blade with very good edge and point. Good clean black plastic scabbard, fitted into original maker marked M1990 vinyl frog in very good condition, dated 1990.
