World War 1 bayonets
|
This is a very good quality reproduction of the infamous 'Butcher' bayonet as used by the front-line troops of the German Army during WW1. Full designation for this bayonet is S (Seitengewehr, meaning side-arm) 1898/05. 1898 being the year of introduction of the basic bayonet and 1905 the year of modification to that current form. This is the second variant, or 'neue Art' or 'new-type' which had low muzzle ears and a flashguard above the grips. This particular example is in as new condition, unmarked on the ricasso but great quality, just like the real thing, fitted into a very nice repro leather frog. Great for a re-enactor, or as a gap filler. Our Price: £95.00 |
