Obsolete Calibre Swiss Schmidt-Rubin M1889 rifle

This is the Swiss Model 1889 rifle, the first of a series of rifles designed by Rudolph Schmidt and using Eduard Rubin's ammunition, which served the Swiss armed forces from 1889 right up into the 1950's until replaced with the SIG 510 or Sturmgewehr 57. Fed form a 12-round magazine, with straight-pull bolt design, in 7.5mm x 53.5 calibre, this rifle is of 'obsolete calibre' in that ammunition is no longer commercially available, and thus no deactivation or Firearms Licence is required for ownership. This particular example is in excellent authentic condition with all matching serial numbers throughout, and the serial number dates it to 1893. Able to be cocked and dry-fired, and fully field strippable, this rifle comes with webbing sling and brass muzzle cover, and detachable 12-round magazine.

Our Price: £525.00

All obsolete calibre weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are legal to own within the EU without the need for a Firearms Licence.
