Obsolete calibre Martini-Henry mk IV rifle, 1886 dated

This is a Martini-Henry mk IV .450/577" calibre rifle, produced from 1886 till 1889. This particular example was made at the Enfield factory in 1886, as marked on the breech side under the Victoria crown, and there are broad arrows and WD War Department inspection stamps in many places signifying British military use, along with foreign marks for service in the east. Very good furniture with minor knocks from service use, and very good steel with most of it's original finish. A good original example of this widely used Victorian-era rifle, which saw service with the Empire until the end of WW1. Cocks and dry-fires, and able to be fully stripped, this rifle comes with an original cleaning rod and original leather sling. This rifle is of obsolete calibre, so does not require any licence for ownership, unless the intention is to fire it again, then the correct licence will be compulsory.
