Obsolete calibre M1879 Reichsrevolver

This is the Imperial German Reichsrevolver Model 1879, made by a consortium of manufactures in Suhl, Germany. This weapon was the standard side arm for German forces from 1879 till 1908, when the Luger replaced it. A very sturdy and reliable weapon, it was used through WW1 and even by Nazi forces. Nick-named the 'Cavalry' model with 7" barrel and chambered for a 10.6mm round, this weapon is of obsolete calibre and requires no licence for ownership, unless the intention is to fire it, then the necessary licencing would be compulsory. This example has a very good bore and chambers, and generally is in very good unrestored condition, with good complete wooden grips. No polished out details, so plenty of imperial stamps. Matching serials to frame and barrel, and other components, and interesting regimental markings by the lanyard ring of 2.R.A.G.6.25.
