This is a Model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked 43 fnj on the ricasso, and also on the scabbard, (1943 manufacture by Alexander Coppel of Solingen) but non-matching serial numbers, this bayonet is in good sound condition, with most of the blued finish to the blade, good point and unsharpened edge. Most of the original blued finish still present on the crossguard, flashguard and pommel, with Waffenamt stamps on pommel. The bakolite grips are near perfect. Very good scabbard, no dents and 99% of it's original finish left, Waffenamt stamped finial. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
