World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked 44 crs for Paul Weyersberg, Solingen and 2491g on the ricassos and scabbard mouth, this bayonet is in excellent condition. The blade has a perfect edge and point with super blacking, possible factory reworked. Very good late war dark red bakolite grips and all of blacking to Waffenamt stamped pommel, crossguard and flashguard. The scabbard is in equally good condition with no dents and nearly all of it's black finish, no corrosion. Waffenamt stamped on the finial. Fitted into very good leather frog with perfect rivets and stitching, marked to the rear but originality not certain. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
