World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked WKC on the ricasso for the maker, Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co of Solingen-Wald. This bayonet is in very good condition, possibly a factory refurb as the serial number appears to have been removed as well as no date on the spine. The blade has a good edge and point, no sharpening or dressing, with most of it's bluing. Very good bakolite grips and most of the bluing remaining on pommel, crossguard and flashguard. The scabbard is in equally good condition, marked W.K.C. 1940, very nice original bluing and just light corrosion on one side, Waffenamt stamped on the finial. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
