Mauser K98 bayonet and scabbard, matched year and maker, 44 cvl **SOLD**
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked 44 cvl on the ricasso and scabbard for the year and maker, Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co of Solingen-Wald, who made these bayonets from 1934 till 1944, but not matching serial number. This bayonet is in very nice condition with a super blade, perfect edge and point, no signs of sharpening, polished for cermonial use. Good late war reddish/brown plastic grips and similarly polished Waffenamt stamped pommel, crossguard and flashguard. The scabbard is in equally good condition, no dents worth mentioning, Waffenamt stamped on the finial. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
