This is the model 1884/98 III  bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked 41 ddl on the ricasso and scabbard for the year and maker, Josua Corts & Sohn of Remschied, but  without matching serial numbers, though same letter suffix. This bayonet is in super condition, possibly a factory refurbishment. The blade has an excellent edge and good point, and shows no signs of sharpening, with lovely complete and original bluing to the blade. Very good wooden grips and near 100% bluing on Waffenamt stamped pommel, crossguard and flashguard.  The scabbard is in equally good condition, no dents and only some minimal signs of corrosion,  Waffenamt stamped on the finial. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
