World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked clc 43 on the ricasso and scabbard for the year and maker, Richard A Herder, with matching serial number of D2634. This bayonet is in very good condition overall, the blade has a perfect edge and point with most of it's blacked finish. The waffenamt stamped pommel, flashguard and crossguard have remains of blacking with no corrosion, very good wooden grips and release button, and similarly finished scabbard in very good condition, some very minor dents. Waffenamt stamped on the finial. A very nice addition to any K98 rifle, and genuine leather frog available if required- no extra postage.
