Mauser K98 bayonet and scabbard, E.Packs, matched maker **SOLD**
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked E.Packs & S on the ricasso with 40 on the spine for 1940, and same maker with 1937 on the scabbard for Ernst Pack & Sohn of Solingen, who made these bayonets from 1934 till 1944. This bayonet is in very good condition with most of the bluing on the blade, very good edge and point, no signs of sharpening, with minor signs of corrosion towards the tip. Very good grips and good bluing on Waffenamt stamped pommel, crossguard and flashguard. The scabbard is in equally good condition, no dents and some surface rust on the back, Waffenamt stamped on the finial. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
