World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle . Marked Coppel GmbH on one side of the ricasso and 836k on the other, with 39 on the spine, this bayonet is in very good condition with matching scabbard. The blade has a very good edge and point, with no additional sharpening, and an excellent blacked finish with just scabbard wear. Perfect grips and release button. Most of blacking to Waffenamt stamped pommel, flashguard and crossguard. The scabbard is in very good condition, no dents, and similar finish as the bayonet, with fully matching markings. Fitted into original leather frog, perfect rivets but some loose stitching. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
