Mauser K98 bayonet and fully matched s/n scabbard, Berg & Co 1938/5209i
This is the model 1884/98 III bayonet for the WW2 German Mauser K98 infantry rifle. Marked Berg & Co on the ricasso and 1938 on the spine of the blade, this bayonet is in very good condition. The blade has a perfect edge and point with a lot of the bluing remaining. Very good bakolite grips and most of blacking to Waffenamt stamped pommel, crossguard and flashguard. The matching scabbard is in equally good condition with only very slight dents, nearly all of it's black painted finish and no rust. Waffenamt stamped on the finial and same markings as bayonet. A great addition to any K98 rifle.
