M1866 sword bayonet and scabbard, Alex Coppel made, possibly matched s/numbers

This is the yataghan curved sword bayonet as fitted to the Chassepot M1866 rifle. A good straight blade with good point and edge with minimal signs of corrosion, and a few light indents to the edge. Good uncorroded finish to   cross-guard, release spring and quillon, and very good scabbard, with no dents worth mentioning, and most of the blacked finish remaining, matching similar painted finish on bayonet. Nice brass grips with working release button. Of interest is maker marked with scales symbol for Alex Coppel of Solingen, who were contracted to make the blades, and not marked at all on the spine. Serial number on scabbard is hard to make out, two digits match with one unclear and the last digit missing, and with no letter prefix, consistent with non-French manufacture . An unusual sword bayonet in good sound condition for being nearly 150 years old.
