Lee-Enfield .303 WW1 early mk IV 5-round charger clip (no rounds included) **OUT OF STOCK*

These are genuine British made WW1 issue charger, or stripper, loading clips used to load 5 rounds of .303" ammunition into the magazine of the Lee-Enfield SMLE and the Enfield P14 rifles, in one quick action. The loader clip was discarded once the rounds were pushed down into the magazine. The P14 would hold 5 rounds only, whilst the Lee-Enfields would hold 10, giving it a distinct advantage over other battle-field rifles like the German Mausers which also only held 5 rounds. This is the early mk IV clip, with 4 round holes on each side, introduced in 1917 to replace the mkIII charger. The end hole with the split was changed to an oval hole at some point, and used up until the end of WW2. Post war clips stayed the same but were stamped mk4 instead of mkIV.

Our Price: £6.50 each ( rounds not included)
