World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the Italian made Model 1938 bayonet as fitted to the Carcano M1938 and M1891/38 carbines and M1891/38 short rifles that equipped Italian forces in WW2. Originally designed to be a foldable bayonet, the Italians reverted back to non-folding, by redesigning or modifying existing examples, of which this is one. Scabbards were all steel, and this one is in great condition with just loss of most of the painted finish. This particular example is in generally good condition with good sound blade, serial number stamped on the tang. Good release button and wooden grips, one small crack as can be seen, patina of age to pommel and crossguard. Our Price: £125.00 |
