World War 1 bayonets
This is the Italian made Model 1891 bayonet as fitted to the Mannlicher-Carcano M1891 rifles that equipped Italian forces in both World Wars. Scabbards could be leather with metal ends as in this case, or of ribbed or plain all metal construction. This particular example is in super condition with very good blade, excellent edge and point, with serial number and maker stamp on crossguard. Good release button and near perfect grips, most of blacking to steel pommel and crossguard. The steel ended leather scabbard is also very good, both ends good and tight with some loss of brass-like finish over the steel.
