Inert USA 7.62 x 51mm training cartridges, WW2 dated

These are interesting cartridges, and I believe they are wartime .30-06 cases shortened to the Nato 51mm size. 7.62mm is the metric equivalent of .30 inch, or 30 cal. The headstamps on the cases are, amongst others, DEN for the Denver Ordnance Plant, Colorado, and LC, for Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Missouri, mostly dated 1942. Both of these plants were used by Remington Arms for the production of .30-06 and .30 carbine rounds from 1941 to 1945. The fluted cases indicate training rounds, and they are available with both copper and nickel heads.
