German WW2 Ostvolk Medal in gold with swords

This is a genuine WW2 issue Ostvolk Auszeichnung, or Eastern People Decoration, awarded in bronze, silver or gold as a 2nd class medal on a ribbon, and as a pin-back badge in silver and gold for the 1st class award. Awarded 'with swords' for bravery in battle, and 'without swords' for meritorious service. All awards were made in zinc, and this example is the 2nd class in gold with swords, and is in excellent condition with original plain green ribbon with two red stripes and pin suspension as issued, maker marked on the ring 15 for Friedrich Orth of Vienna.
