This is a German made M7 bayonet as fitted to the Colt M16 and AR-15 assault rilfes. In near mint condition with perfect blade and grips, marked US M7 under the crossguard and Made in Germany on the ricasso and a faint Colt logo on the blade, it is probably made by Eickhorn of Solingen. Note: not West Germany, so a production after 1990. Excellent undamaged black plastic M8A1 type scabbard and black webbing frog, encorporating US-style wire hanger attachment, with thigh strap.
