German K98 bayonet leather frog, genuine WW2 issue

This is a genuine WW2 leather frog as used with the S1884/98 bayonet, which fitted the Mauser K98 infantry rifle. In good used condition and still quite supple, nice and strong around the frog-stud hole, and with good strong rivets and tight stitching. No obvious maker marks visible, though what could be partial stamps and a date of 42 to the rear. A couple of very small holes visible in leather, presumably where it might have been pinned to something? easily hidden. A very nice original frog.
