This is a genuine set of campaign medals awarded to a infantryman in the 1st Army, complete with award certificate confirming the awards, and the box of issue, which would allow some research to be done on this lovely set. Comprising the British War Medal, the Defense Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the Africa Star with 1st Army clasp, the Italy Star, and the France & Germany Star. This infantryman clearly saw a lot of action. All in excellent unworn condition as issued, unused genuine ribbons and four of the six medal packets.
