Pre-World War 1 bayonets
This is an Austrian made French designed T-back or T-section bayonet as fitted to the Gras M1874 rifle. The blade is in good clean condition, with undamaged edge and point. Marked on the spine Waffenfabrik Steyr and a date of 1877 for general export to other countries that used the french Gras rifle. Good wooden grips with brass pommel and sound working release button. Very nice undented scabbard with light corrosion, no pitting. A very nice authentic bayonet that is over 140 years old!
