Pre-World War 1 bayonets
This is the French T-back or T-section bayonet as fitted to the Gras M1874 rifle. The blade is in very good straight condition, with very good point and edge. Marked on the spine with the St. Etienne Armoury and a date of March 1877, in french of course. Good wooden grips with brass pommel and sound working release button. Non-matching serial numbers on crossguard and scabbard, but they are not that far apart, both L 9xxxx. Scabbard is very good too, signs of only light corrosion in a couple of places, no dents, and most of blacked finish. Our price: £95.00 |
