World War 1 bayonets
This is the French T-back or T-section bayonet as fitted to the Gras M1874 rifle. The blade is in good clean condition, with very good point and edge, and just minor marks. Marked on the spine with the St.Etienne armoury and a date of June 1876, in french of course. Good wooden grips with brass pommel and sound working release button. Nice straight undented scabbard, with most of the blacked finish remaining, but signs of minor corrosion. Matching serial numbers to scabbard and bayonet. A very nice bayonet that is nearly 150 years old!
