This is a communist East German issue bayonet for the Kalashnikov AK47 assault rifle, identifiable by the black plastic grips. It will not fit the later AKM with bayonet lug. In very good condition with excellent unmarked blade, very good undented scabbard, and good integral webbing belt-hanger, just showing some signs of use. Interesting etched '3' on crossguard, showing this was an issued bayonet, not one in storage like so many were. Getting very hard to find now, especially in good condition.
