Deactivated Yugoslavian made Mauser K98 infantry rifle **SOLD**

Based on the standard german infantry rifle of WW2, full name the Mauser 'Karabiner 98 kurz', or K98k,(karabiner meaning carbine and kurz meaning short), this particular rifle is either an early post-war example, made using all the classic early war style of parts at the Yugoslavian Zastava Arms factory, or a refurbished Wehrmacht rifle. Close inspection of the rear sights, for instance, reveals Waffenamt stamps. Any German manufacturer marks on the receiver would have been removed and replaced with the Communist Yugoslavian crest, and also stamped ' Preduzece 44'. This of course is not a production date as some would have you believe, but is in fact a factory name.  This rifle is in very nice original condition all over, with matching serial numbers to breech, magazine floorplate and hardwood stock, and all the correct parts for an early war weapon . Comes with foresight hood, and repro leather sling, is fully strippable and can be  cocked and dry-fired. An inexpensive alternative to the Wehrmacht Mauser K98 .  The inert cartridges are not included with this rifle, but are shown to 'complete' this lovely vintage weapon. These inert cartridges and stripper clip are available in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.

Our Price: £325.00

All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
