Deactivated West German SIG Sauer P220 9mm pistol **SOLD**
This is the SIG Sauer P220 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9 x 19mm Parabellum. Designed in Switzerland by SIG Arms AG, it is manufactured in Eckernforde, Germany, by subsidiary J.P.Sauer und Sohn GmbH, who made K98 rifles during WW2. A very popular side-arm, it uses the Browning action for self-loading, but with single and double-action trigger mechanism. The P220 is the basis of what is now a large family of semi-automatic pistols, including the P225, P226, P228 and P229 models, which are in service with the armed forces and police of many countries, including the UK. This particular example is in excellent condition, with very good finish to the steel, and very good black plastic hand grips. Also features enhanced rear sights with elevation and windage adjustment. Can be cocked and dry-fired with a very precise action, and comes with 3 inert 9mm rounds.Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate, to UK specification.
