Deactivated Webley mk4 5" service revolver 1945 manufactured **SOLD**


 

This is the British Webley mark IV standard-issue service revolver with 5 inch barrel in 0.38 inch calibre, chambered for the .038/200 cartridge, made by Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham.  Marked 'War Finish' on the side,  reflecting measures taken in manufacture to speed up production, it's numeric serial number identifies it as early 1945 manufactured. Cocks, breaks and dry fires, this revolver is in  excellent authentic condition with precise action and no hinge wear. Near perfect metalwork and grips, with very minor wear reflecting it's service use, and matching serial numbers to frame, barrel and chamber. Inspection and broad arrow stamped.  The inert cartridges are not included but are shown to compliment this classic British side-arm, and are available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each post free if ordered together.  Deactivated in UK with Certificate to UK specification.
