Deactivated Webley mk4 .38 service revolver 4" barrel, 1940 issue, old spec deac **SOLD**

This is a deactivated British Webley mark IV standard-issue service revolver with 4 inch barrel in 0.38 inch calibre, chambered for the .038/200 cartridge, made by Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham.  A non-prefix serial number indicates it is a wartime manufactured example, and the 44XXX serial number puts it mid-1940, just about when the 'War Finish' were introduced, so it still has the better pre- war finish standard of polish/bluing. This double-action pistol breaks, cocks and dry fires, can be fully stripped and is in excellent condition with a precise action. Deactivated in 1990 it has benefit of free chambers and free barrel, so can be loaded with inert rounds. Near perfect original bluing on the metalwork and perfect grips, matching serial numbers to frame, barrel and chamber. The inert cartridges are not included but are shown to compliment this classic British side arm. Deactivated in UK with Certificate to UK specification.

Our Price:  £450.00
