This is the British Webley mark IV standard-issue service revolver with 4 inch barrel in 0.38 inch calibre, chambered for the .038/200 cartridge, made by Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham.  'A' prefix serial number dating it as manufactured between 1949 and 1951, these are the same as the WW2 issue side-arms. This example breaks, cocks and dry fires, and is in very good sound condition with precise action. Good original blacking to the metalwork and  sound undamaged grips, with only very minor wear reflecting it's service use.  All three matching serial numbers to frame, barrel and chambers. Interesting stamp HKP 4123 by lanyard ring, Hong Kong Police?  The inert cartridges are not included but are shown to compliment this classic British side arm, and are available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section post free if ordered together.  Deactivated in UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
