Deactivated World War 1 pistols
This is the Webley mark IV revolver in 0.455 inch calibre and 4 inch barrel, introduced in 1899. Webley revolvers were standard issue to the British Army and those of the Commonwealth from 1887 to 1963, and this particular model, the mk IV saw action in the Boer War, and was also widely used in WW1, although it was superceeded by the mk V in 1913, and then the mk VI in 1915. This particular example is in excellent original condition, with complete undamaged grips with only minor wear to the high points as you'd expect, and original untouched finish to the steel. This revolver has a precise action and unworn hinge, and has matching serial numbers to frame, barrel and chambers. A lovely authentic un-messed with example of this sought-after service revolver, with a lot of history. Inert rounds not included. Deactivated in the UK with proofhouse certificate of deactivation. Our Price: £995.00 All deactivated weapons sold by Jaybe Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K. |
