Deactivated Webley mk VI, open chambers, rare Enfield made example

This is the Webley mark VI revolver in 0.455 inch calibre and 6 inch barrel, made at RSAF Enfield after WW1.  Webley revolvers were standard issue to the British Army and those of the Commonwealth from 1887 to 1963, and this model, the mk VI was introduced in 1915 during WW1, and was also used in WW2 and after. This particular example is in very good condition, with excellent grips and super original blacked finish to the steel, and matching serial numbers to frame, barrel and chamber. No maker mark as were the Enfield made revolvers after 1921, this pistol is dated '23 above the breech and has many WD inspection and broadarrow stamps. This is a current spec deactivation, and as such the trigger revolves the chamber and moves the hammer a small amount at the same time, but no dry fire. On the plus side, no messy welded screws, the chambers are free, and so it can be loaded with inert ammunition as shown, which is included along with original lanyard. This is a super example of this sought-after service revolver, and an unusual Enfield model. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate  to UK/EU specification.
