Deactivated Webley & Scott No2 mk5 1" flare pistol **SOLD**

This is a Webley & Scott flare pistol made by Berridge Ltd during WW2. Their dispersal code of M601 is stamped on the hammer, along with imperial inspection stamps and broad-arrow marks on the body of the gun. The barrel could be extended by fitting a sleeve, and locking it over the lug visible on the left side. Chambering a 1 inch flare cartridge, this flare gun was often referred to as a Very pistol, after the original designer. In super condition with excellent blued steel and undamaged complete grips. Capable of being cocked and dry-fired, this wartime issue pistol comes with one empty 1" flare casing as shown.
Deactivated in the UK to full UK specification with deactivation certificate.
