This is a deactivated 9mm caliber Walther P38 produced from 1939 till the end of WW2. It was developed as a service pistol for the German military to replace the expensive Luger P08 pistol. This particular example is in near mint condition, marked 'ac' for the Walther works ( these were also made by Mauser ) '41' for the year of manufacture (rarer than the later made ones), and it's Waffenamt acceptance marks. With all matching serial numbers, it has the popular black bacolite grips with only a few minor marks, no chips or cracks. It cocks and dry fires with detachable magazine, and has a fully functional safety lever.  Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
