Deactivated Walther Model 4 WW1 issue with 1917 dated holster **SOLD**
This is a rare example of the Walther Model 4. Produced for the German Army in 1915 in 7.65mm caliber by the Walther Company, production was sub-contracted out to other gun-makers to meet demand for this popular and reliable side-arm. This particular example was made by Heinrich Krieghoff, whose emblem was an anchor, stamped on the left side trigger guard. The serial number places this pistol at around 1917, and it comes in an original 1917 dated leather holster. The pistol is in good original condition, with excellent grips. An imperial military inspection stamp is visible on the left side frame just forward of the slide grips. The left side is marked with the Walther banner, but the right side is unmarked, making this a rare variant. Able to be cocked and dry-fired and field stripped. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
