Deactivated W. Richards 12-bore hammer shotgun **SOLD**
This is a beautiful old hammer action sporting shotgun of side-by-side construction, made by W. Richards of York, in North Yorkshire. Richards was established in 1780, and supplied guns of a very high quality to royalty and the aristoctacy throughout the British Empire. Maker named on the action sides, this late-Victorian era shotgun is in lovely condition, with classic cross-hatched hardwood furniture and prolifically engraved action, with full 30" Damascus steel barrels. The steelwork displays a pleasant patina of age, and this shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a positive action on both barrels, and can be fully stripped. Two inert 12 bore cartridges are included, with more available separately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
