Deactivated USA Browning Automatic Rifle M1918 1943 dated **SOLD**

This is the Browning Automatic Rifle, better known as the BAR, that first saw action in WW1 in small numbers in the last few months of the war. Chambered for the Springfield .30-06 round or more simply '30 cal', it was developed further as the M1918 A2, of which this is an example. Manufactured by New England Small Arms Corporation, it has super furniture and very good blacking to the steel, with removeable flash-hider which secures the optional bi-pod. Dated 1943 on the barrel, this gun can be cocked and dry fired, has removeable magazine and bi-pod, and can be field stripped. Comes with good quality leather reproduction sling and 3 rounds on inert .30-06 ammunition to load into the magazine. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
