Deactivated Turkish Mauser Model 1903, 1942 dated, early spec

This is a Mauser M1903 rifle, a variation of the Mauser G98, purchased by Turkey from Germany prior to WW1 and chambered for the same 7.92 x 57mm round. The M1903 served with the Turkish Military through their war of 1911-1912 with Italy right through to WW2. This example is in good overall condition, with an good hardwood stock, just the usual knocks of a service rifle, and most of the original blacking to the steel. Matching serial numbers to breech, rear sights and trigger guard, Turkish markings to the bolt, and bearing the Turkish crest and factory markings and a date of 1942 on the receiver. Able to be cocked and dry-fired and fully stripped. Deactivated in the UK with Proof-House certificate of deactivation.
