This is a 12-bore double-barrelled boxlock action shotgun of side-by-side construction made by Thomas Wild of Whittall Street, Birmingham, as marked clearly on the top of the full 30 inch barrels, from where he manufactured guns from 1900 till 1933.  A major manufacturer in the area of good quality, sporting guns, they still exist today, but no longer as manufacturers.  This example is in lovely condition with barely a mark worth mentioning, with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock. Delicately engraved metalwork, with no signs of corrosion on the action or barrels. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action on both barrels, and can be fully stripped. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, with more available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered  with the shotgun.
