Adopted in 1896, this is the 6.5mm caliber Mauser infantry rifle used by the Swedish military through WW1 and in variants up till 1944. Strongly resembling the German G98, this rifle is in lovely authentic condition with original cleaning rod and brass butt disc, on which was recorded the barrel wear. Dated 1905 on the breech below the Swedish crown and Carl Gustafs factory mark, this rifle has very good original blacking, and the authentic hardwood stock is near perfect for it's age. Of particular importance is that all serial numbers match the breech serial, including bolt and all it's parts, rear sights, magazine floorplate, bands and butt plate. This rifle cocks and dry-fires with a precise action, and can be fully field stripped. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
