Deactivated Swedish Mauser model 1896 rifle dated 1901 Carl Gustaf made. **SOLD**
Adopted in 1896, this is the 6.5mm caliber Mauser infantry rifle used by the Swedish military through WW1 and in variants up till 1944. Strongly resembling the German G98, this rifle is in lovely condition with original cleaning rod and brass butt disc. Dated 1901 on the breech below the Swedish crown and Carl Gustafs factory mark, this rifle has excellent original blacking, and the authentic hardwood stock is near perfect for it's age. Of particular importance is that all serial numbers match the breech serial, including bolt, magazine floorplate, bands and butt plate. This rifle cocks and dry-fires with a precise action, and can be fully field stripped. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
